Speakers again today, led from a calling and passion that is greater than themselves. Their entrepreneurial organizations emerged from Holy Spirit promptings which they took action and developed. Bill Hybel's closing talk chronicled Mother Teresa's life which demonstrated "cart blanch yieldedness" of a leader with a "relentless commitment" to her calling.
This day was filled with conversations over times when the Holy Spirit prompted leaders to step out. Craig Groeschel, Pastor of Lifechurch.TV, Chuck Colson of Prison Fellowship Ministries, Catherine Rohr of Prison Entrepreneurship Program, Brad Anderson of Best Buy, and Bill Hybels all spoke of times the Holy Spirit prompted action in a clear and present way. While it is different for individuals everyone acknowledged the unmistakable presence.
Have you had an encounter with God through the Holy Spirit? What action did you take? What results were produced? How did it mark your life? We would like to hear your story as a comment below.

Often following the lead of the Holy Spirit means stepping out when an opportunity arises. About nine years ago I accepted a transfer to the Chicago area. I did not have one second of adjustment, and I love everything about being here. The Neighborhoods ministry may very well be the reason God moved me here.
All the sessions were amazingly full of information, ideas and challenges, but the one phrase that stayed with me comes from Catherine Rohr: “get off your chair and do something!” she was referring to the fact that many Christians who have a strong calling and desire to do something to make a difference in this hurting world never get around to it.
God has been dealing with my heart for the past 5 years to get involve and care for the needy children. (For I believe that what you go through during the early years of your life stays with you and has a strong impact on the rest of your life) and even though I got involved with some good agencies, I felt I needed to do more and I had been praying about it... and then… an email from Pastor LaVerne saying that Dina wanted to start a group to Care for the Orphans. I felt “this is it, this is what I need to do next” I contacted Dina right away to attend this meeting. Boy, I am glad I did! This group of people are a very God-Honoring and God-Fearing group that has a deep passion for the hurting children and an immensurable love and compassion to give. The presence of the Holy Spirit during the meeting was so strong that you could almost touch it!
Right now we are in the praying stages of the ministry and we can all sense that God will do great things through this ministry and for HIS glory!
“The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives.” Psalm 37:23
